OUR POLICIES AT THE AVENUE
   
    I. No pets or animals of any kind are allowed
   
    II.  Due to IllinoisSmokeFreeLaw, smoking is not allowed           inside or outside of The Avenue Bed and Breakfast. You             must leave premises to smoke.   
  
   III.  All rooms booked in advance, WILL BE CHARGED     IN      FULL on your credit card of choice and are ONLY                      refundable if room can be rebooked for those
   dates.

    IV. No parties or loitering of non guests are allowed
    without prior permission from your hosts Paul or                         Catherine.
    
    V. The Avenue is not handicap accessible.
   
    VI. The Avenue is alarmed with keyless entry and                     under surveillance at all times for your safety and                      convenience.

     VII. You must be at least 21 years of age to book
     a room at The Avenue. Guests under the age of
     21 must be accompanied by someone over the
     age of 21. Children under the age of 18, are not allowed
     unless you call ahead to confirm. 

     VIII. All major credit cards as of 4/09 are not giving full                refunds on cancellations. Due to this unfortunate                        policy change, we have no choice but to charge a  5%                cancellation fee on all cancellations that meet our                      cancellation criteria.

     IX. WE DO NOT ALLOW CHECK IN AFTER 6 PM OR AFTER DARK.  IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON CHECKING IN AFTER 6PM OR IF YOU ARE CHECKING IN AFTER DARK, YOU MUST PARK IN THE STREET IN FRONT OF THE AVENUE AND CALL 217-390-9830.  DUE TO GUESTS KNOCKING ON THE WRONG DOOR, WE MUST STRICTLY ENFORCE THIS POLICY.  WE HATE TO BE SO STRINGENT BUT WE RESPECT OUR NEIGHBORS AND THEIR PRIVACY. 
IF YOU DO NOT FOLLOW THIS POLICY, YOU WILL BE ASKED TO FIND OTHER ACCOMMODATIONS.

     X. WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO ASK ANY GUEST AT THE AVENUE TO LEAVE, DUE TO UNSAVORY BEHAVIOR, OR HAVE THEM REMOVED AT OUR DISCRETION.  IN SUCH AN EVENT ALL MONIES WILL BE REFUNDED BACK TO THE GUEST, UNLESS DAMAGE IS CAUSED TO ROOM OR ESTABLISHMENT. IF DAMAGE IS CAUSED IN ANY WAY TO THE AVENUE ESTABLISHMENT, GUEST WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL COSTS OF REPAIR AND LOSS OF USE.

   XI. Breakfast is served sharply at 800am.  We do not accommodate different times.  If you require an earlier or later meal we will not provide you a morning meal of any kind.  Access to our kitchen is strictly forbidden and will not be allowed. Please keep this in mind when booking your stay at The Avenue Bed and Breakfast.







We want everyone at The Avenue to enjoy themselves.  While we do have a list of policies, most of them are for good reason.  Although we are laid back here at The Avenue, we instituted these policies to give people a framework of appropriate behavior here at The Avenue. 
In order to keep all of our guests happy and our neighbors, we enforce these policies at our establishment.
